Voriki

In his younger years, Matoran Onepu of Onu-Koro had dug deep underneath the Volcano in the center of Mata Nui and found a purple Kanohi, one of the only few known in existence. He did not know that he had stumbled upon the ruins of a lost city which had been destroyed and burried underneath the volcano in the time before time. No one knows if any Matoran or their descendants had survived from this lost land.

There Toa, however, was waiting for his return from the skies, waiting to avenge his people against the evil that had come to pass. Using the special powers of his Kanohi Gaaha, the mask of lightning, and his own elemental powers over energy, he would return to Mata Nui, and not rest until the wrong had been undone, and the remnants of the lost tribe were reunited, to take their rightful place as the rulers over the Matoran and rebuild their great civilization.

Filling in the holes

                                                    Onepu and Vo-Koro

There are many errors in this description, obvious enough that Onepu is, in fact, an Onu-Matoran. But, from a certain perspective, why can’t Vo-Koro be Metru-Nui? In this perspective, these Vo-Koronan Matoran, thus Matoran from Metru-Nui, would return to Metru-Nui, as they have.

                                                         Kanohi Gahaa

I think we can agree that, after seeing the Boxor animation from 2002, there are many purple masks in existence. However, isn’t Gahaa the only purple Great Mask we know of? In addition, if an Order of Mata-Nui member hid the Great Masks for the Toa Mata to find, he/she could have later switched the Gahaa for a regular Kanohi Pikari.
